There's no denying that Fall is the perfect time for soup. The ups and downs of weather coupled with the incredible bounty of Fall produce makes soup the perfect vehicle for eating all those veggies. These vegan Fall Soup recipes are full of Autumn flavor, seasonal vegetables and cozy vibes.

What is the secret to making a great Fall soup?
Making soup is incredibly easy. It's practically foolproof! If you think it takes too much effort or cooking knowledge, I am here to tell you that is simply not true.
Did you know that the secret to soup making is combining the ingredients you have on hand, adding water or stock and then spicing it according to your own preferences? It really is that simple.
I probably shouldn't tell you this as it could cost me my job, but you don't even need to follow a recipe to make an amazing bowl of soup. A little of this, a little of that, really a little of almost any veggie or herb or seasoning will just give the broth more depth of flavor and texture. You can't go wrong!
There is one exception: cayenne pepper. Cayenne is really hot and can ruin a soup if you add too much.
True Story: Once at a restaurant I where I was Chef, I gave a novice cook a recipe to follow. It was for a giant pot of African Peanut Soup, like absolutely huge. I made the mistake of not tasting his soup, it looked right so I thought things were under control. Well, instead of 2 teaspoons of cayenne, he added 2 cups. That soup unfortunately went to a table and someone was very mad.

FAQs
Vegan soups like these are incredibly nutritious and good for you. That is because they are dense in vitamins and minerals but the calorie counts and fat content is low. These soups are full of fiber and plant-based protein which makes them extremely satiating without over eating. Nutrient dense foods like soups can be a great tool for weight management.
The sky is the limit when it comes to beans for soups. My favorites are black beans, lentils, chickpeas and white beans but kidney beans, butter beans and pinto beans are also delicious and healthy. Other legumes like red lentils, split peas, and yellow lentils are delicious as well but they break down and make soups creamy rather than "beany".
This question is kind of hard to answer. But in my unprofessional opinion, I would say Lentil Soup. Lentils have protein, iron and fiber and are low in fat and calories making them an extremely healthy food. Added to broth with copious veggies and herbs makes this soup really good for you.
No! Making soup is very easy actually. It's all about throwing things in a pot and cooking until tender. Getting creative and using ingredients on hand, substituting at will, and improvising make soup even better. No need to follow the recipe, soup making is best when you use your instincts and navigate with your heart.
It sounds corny to say, but the secret to a great soup is love!
In all seriousness though, the seasonings are the most important ingredients. You can take all the scraps from the fridge and season them well and they will make a meal fit for a King!
