To make these we coat pecans in a spicy, smoky and sweet sauce and bake them until they are crispy, golden brown and perfect. I promise you won't be able to eat just one! How do you make smoky chipotle pecans
This recipe is so simple and quick.
- Preheat oven to 350
- Spread pecans in a single layer on a sheet pan (you may use parchment paper if desired)
- Bake for 5 minutes while you make the season sauce
- Make the sauce. In a skillet over medium heat add water, brown sugar, salt, chipotle pepper flakes, and smoked paprika and bring to a boil.
- Baste the pecans with the sauce and mix well to assure all nuts are covered.
- Bake again until crispy, about 7-10 minutes depending on your oven.
- Eat as a snack or use as a salad topper. These are addictive!
