    Simple Roasted Cauliflower

    This simple roasted cauliflower recipe is one of my favorite ways to eat cauli. It is easy to make, has few ingredients and tastes fantastic. This is the cauliflower dreams are made of. The texture is unreal and the flavor is really great. You may just make a meal out of this!

    First step of this cauliflower recipe is cutting the cauli in florets. The best way to do that is to cut the entire head down the middle vertically and then remove the Sten by slicing a v shape into the "heart". Then you can easily break the cauliflower into florets as they are no longer bound by that stem. Once you have larger florets broken off, then cut the largest ones in halves and quarters for your desired sizes.

    Next put the cauliflower in a large bowl and toss in the oil and spiced so that it is coated and seasoned well. I love smoked paprika for it's color and flavor. It really makes the cauliflowers flavor pop. I like simply roasting the cauliflower on a sheet pan. This method is a great low maintenance cook that requires minimal babysitting.

    Once the simple roasted cauliflower is ready, I love to bump up the flavor profile with a squeeze of lemon, fresh herbs and hot sauce. These things are optional and work best when eating the cauliflower as a side. I use this simple roasted cauliflower method in my Wild Rice and Kale Salad as it is an amazing addition to salads.

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 head cauliflower cut in florets
    • 1 tsp olive oil
    • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
    • ¼ tsp garlic powder
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • ½ lemon squeezed
    • 1 tbsp fresh mint or cilantro

    Instructions
     

    • Preheat oven to 400
    • Toss cauliflower in a bowl with oil, salt, garlic and smoked paprika
    • Lay seasoned cauli on a sheet pan and bake for 15 mins
    • Pull out, flip and bake 10 more mins.
    • squeeze lemon, sprinkle herbs and drizzle hot sauce if you like
