What is a Collagen Boost Protein Smoothie?

What sets a collagen boost protein smoothie apart from fruit smoothies or protein smoothies is quite simple. The ingredient list includes items that boost your skins natural collagen production. Namely we add Ora Organic's collagen booster "Aloe Gorgeous" to the smoothie.

Unlike most collagen supplements which are made from animal products, this one is completely plant based. It's not an actual collagen supplement though. This powder is comprised of foods that support your skins natural processes.

Why you'll love this Vegan Cashew Date Collagen Boost Protein Smoothie Recipe

Vegan Cashew Date Collagen Boost Protein Smoothie Ingredients

This ingredients list is short and sweet, just like this smoothie.

    • Cashews for extreme creaminess
    • Plant-based Protein Powder I used Ora Organic Vanilla
    • Frozen Banana gives it a slight banana flavor
    • Medjool Date for a little sweetness
    • Water The combo of water and cashews makes cashew milk!
    • Collagen Booster- I used Ora Organic Aloe Gorgeous
    • Ice for frosty goodness

Tip: If you prefer, you can use cashew milk in place of raw cashews and water in the recipe.

How to Make a Collagen Boost Smoothie

Making smoothies is super simple. It's really just a dump and blend kind of situation.

    • To a high speed blender add the water, frozen banana, ice, date, cashews, protein powder and collagen booster.
    • Blend until smooth and creamy. Enjoy immediately!

Tips for Making the Best Vegan Collagen Boost Protein Smoothie

    • Be sure to add liquid first so that the smoothie will blend freely. This will keep the blades from getting jammed up by the fruit, nuts and ice.
    • Experiment with flavors. Add some cacao for a chocolate vibe. Or use coconut milk to make it extra creamy.
    • Add frozen cauliflower for extra fiber and veggies. Nobody would ever know.
    • Make it green by adding a handful of spinach or kale, or add some greens powder!
    • Use Ora Organic Aloe Gorgeous Plant-based Collagen Boosting Powder

    FAQs

Do I need a fancy blender to make this smoothie recipe?

Oh heck no! Any high speed blender will do, you don't need the most expensive model.

Do I need to add collagen boosting powder to this?

Well, without the collagen booster, it's still a delicious and healthy smoothie, so no. But if you want to boost your skins natural collagen production, I recommend the powder too. As a woman in her 50s, I sure am thinking about my skin!

I have heard that protein powders have high levels of lead. Is Ora Organic a safe product? How can I be sure?

Regarding the recent Consumer report on heavy metals in protein powders, it's no wonder people are worried about protein powder. Do not be concerned when it comes to Ora products, as they test every single product batch through third-party accredited labs and publish their testing results (Certificates of Analysis) on the website for full transparency.

Do I need to use Ora Organic Brand or can I use what I have?

Of course you can use your favorite brand's protein powder and/or collagen. I am never an advocate of wasting money or food! But once yours is gone, I highly recommend the Ora Organic brand because they are the only products on the market with Chef approved flavors and great texture. No chalky or stevia after taste! And, you can save money by using my exclusive link. They give my community a 30% discount!
