These giant tahini chocolate chip cookies are soft and fluffy. They are not overly sweet and have just the right amount of chocolate. Trading out butter for tahini makes these moist not greasy and adds just the right amount of nutty flavor. These vegan cookies are the right combo of guilt free indulgence.
Make chia egg by combining chia seeds with 3 tbsp water and let sit while assembling the rest of ingredients. It will gel and make a thick binder for the cookies.
In a large bowl, add tahini, brown sugar and granulated sugar and combine
To the bowl add baking soda, vanilla extract, salt, chia egg, flour, oats and water and mix well
Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips.
On a large parchment paper lined baking sheet scoop or spoon the cookie mixture into 12 large cookies, flatten gently with back of the spoon .
Cook for 15 minutes for a moist, fluffy and chewy cookie that you will love.
